Biography
Emil Gustav Trapp was born January 13, 1876 in Stolp, Pomerania, Germany (today known as SÅ‚upsk, Poland) to August Frederick and Adeline Augusta (Waite) Trapp. The family immigrated to the United States between 1882 and 1883 and eventually settled in Cass County, North Dakota. Emil would become a farm laborer working in both Barnes and Cass Counties. He eventually would work for Amenia and Sharon Land Company farm as well as his own.
He married Augusta Janz on January 17, 1901 in North Dakota. They would have at least seven children, Paul, Anna, Herbert, Adeline, Wiliie, Arnold, and Lucile. Emily died September 11, 1958 in Enderlin, North Dakota.
