This collection contains the farm records from when Thorvald managed the farm. These records include farm records, Correspondence, and biographical information. The series are as follows:
Correspondence: This series covers correspondence between Thorvald and other parties between 1927 and 1943.
Farm Records: This series cover farm records for those working sub farms of the Dalrymples. They are in alphabetical order and range from 1930 to 1942.
Seed Records: This series covers seed purchases and expenses between 1937 and 1941.
Crop Records: This series covers the crop records for the year 1941.
Correspondence: This series covers correspondence between Thorvald and other parties between 1927 and 1943.
Farm Records: This series cover farm records for those working sub farms of the Dalrymples. They are in alphabetical order and range from 1930 to 1942.

Biography
Thorvald Thorson was born July 19, 1874 in Norway and when he was 17 he emigrated from Askim, Norway to the United States. He came to North Dakota almost right away and began working for the Dalrymple Farms at Casselton, North Dakota. It is on one of the many parts of the Dalrymple bonanza farms where he would meet his wife, Josephine Wangen. They married in 1904 and would have four children, Myrtle, Florence, Esther, and Alton.
In 1920, Thorvald and his family moved to Kelso, North Dakota to manage the Dalrymple Farms there. He would work for the Dalrymple Bonanza Farms for over fifty years. In addition to living in Kelso, the family also lived in Hillsboro. Thorvald passed away July 1, 1944 and is buried in Hillsboro, North Dakota.
