This collection contains a ledger that deals with farm business for Milne as well as several journals that he wrote in from 1892 through 1930. Biographical / Historical

Peter Milne was born December 8, 1872 in Aberdenshire, Scotland to Peter and Ellen Milne. In 1879, he and his parents immigrated to Chatham, Canada where he did his schooling. In 1889, he moved to Warren, Minnesota. In 1900, Peter married Hannah Ostlin in McIntosh, Minnesota. Peter and Hannah would go on to farm in several other places including Hill River Township, Minnesota where he farmed until 1951. He would retire from farming, moving to Grand Forks to live with his son, John H. Milne. Peter and Hannah also had a daughter, Mary E. Milne. Peter died April 25, 1964.
