Scope and Contents
The Duane W. Bittner Collection contains four books about the histories of the North Dakota communities of Lehr and Wishek, which date from 1948- 1998. The books are town histories that were released in conjunction with the Golden and Diamond Jubilees of Lehr, as well as its centennial, and a book about the Golden Jubilee of Wishek. The books can be found under Separated Materials.

Biography
Duane W. Bittner resides in North Highlands, California, and has been involved the Germans from Russia Heritage Society in various capacities, including chapter director for the Northern California chapter for the years 2011-2012.
