Scope and Contents

The Flower Pentecostal Heritage Center Collection consists of information related to Christine Sayler of Wishek, North Dakota, circa 1976; two announcements, one for the Ted and Esther Moser anniversary, 1991, and one for the Rueb reunion, 1983; information related to the First Assemblies of God; six theology books and hymnals, 1914-1955; and seven 33 1/3 rpm records.

The Subject Series contains five folders. The Assemblies of God Heritage Folder contains one copy of that publication, dated Fall-Winter 1999-2000. It features T. Texas Tyler on the cover. The Christina Sayler Materials Folder consists of periodical clippings and one magazine, Prairies: Making Neighbors in the Dakotas, dedicated to Mrs. Christina Sayler, a Wishek, North Dakota resident who lived to be 108 years old. The Moser Anniversary Folder contains an announcement for the 50th wedding anniversary of Ted and Esther Moser, dated 1991. The Rueb Reunion Folder contains one program for the Rueb Family Reunion. The event was held in Wishek, ND in 1983.

Six books are also housed within the collection and make up the Book Series. Erweckungs-Lieder/Revival Songs is a hymnal in German and English. Sammlung Deutscher Volkslieder is a prayer book in German, dating from 1929. The Pioneer- 10th Anniversary is a yearbook for the “Royal Harvesters” of the Lakewood Park Bible School, Devils Lake, North Dakota. Also present within this collection is a copy of the German-language hymnal Zions-Lieder: Gesammelt un herausgegeben fuer Zions Pilger, from 1914. Jesus is Coming Very Soon is a book written by Rev. Bernhard Moos, minister in Bowdle, South Dakota. No date.

The Audio Recordings Series contains seven 33 1/3 rpm records and includes the following: “Evangeliums Lieder, Volumes 1 – 5”; “Weihnachts Lieder, Volume 1”; and “William Mueller”. The “Evangeliums” Lieder and the “Weihnachts Lieder” records are vocal records that were recorded by the Rueb Family c.1970-1980 and have no date or publishing information. The “William Mueller” record contains sermons given by Mr. Mueller and C.W. Loenser and was published c.1975.
