Scope and Contents
The Dr. R. Dale Copsey Collection consists of a biography of Dr. R. Dale Copsey and correspondence to and from him, dating from 1976 to 1987. The biography is a one page account of Dr. R. Dale Copsey’s life. It encompasses his early years, his military service and achievements, and his ministry work. The biography is undated but the last entry is from 2008. The majority of the correspondence is incoming from Ted Wenzlaff regarding family history.

Biography
Dr. R. Dale Copsey was born on December 10, 1927, in Kimberly, Idaho. He graduated from high school in 1946 at Gooding, Idaho. In 1957, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in theology from Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon. Dr. Copsey later earned the Doctor of Ministry in 1977 from the San Francisco Theology Seminary. He entered military service in 1946 as an army Private and retired in 1987 as a Lieutenant Colonel. Dr. R. Dale Copsey married Geraldine M. Bell and they had two children: Alan and Tina.
