The Francesca (Stroh) Kuhn Collection contains a skirt and two shawls. The skirt is made by medium gray wool twill and is 37” long from waist to hem. One of the shawls is a dark brown material that is 66” by 58”. There are two lighter brown bands that are near the edge. It also has fringe. The second shawl is woven and has a dark green, dark blue, and dark brown-red background with alternating yellow and red rows in a window pane style. The initials FK are embroidered in a corner. The shawl measures 54” by 53”. All of these items belonged to Francesca who came through Ellis Island in 1911.
