Scope and Contents

The Roland Lackmann Collection consists of five German language books that belonged to the George and Mary K. Lackmann family. Not all of the books have publication dates, but the ones that do date from 1883 to 1936. The book Sieben Auflaetze [2011.06.04], has “Hollihan/ John Hollihan” inscribed in it. Another book, Sammlung Christlicher Lieder [2011.06.07], has the name “Katarina Lackman” inscribed in it.

Biography

George Lackmann was born in Russia on June 27, 1885. Mary Lackmann was born in Russia on July 16, 1890. They both immigrated from Dittel/Dietel, Volga Region, Russia in 1907. Geroge and Mary Lackmann had six children: George, Leonard, Emanuel, Carolene, Richard, and Roland. Mary Lackmann died in January of 1977.

Roland was born on June 10, 1931 to George and Mary Lackmann. On August 17, 1959, Roland married Patricia Radermacher.
