Scope and Contents

The Leo Zander Collections contains materials relating to the family of Leo Joseph Zander. It contains his baptismal gown and certificate from 1926. Also included are duplicates of three family photographs depicting Leo’s parents and other relatives. Additionally, family group sheets detailing the descendants of Dominick Zander are present.

Biography

Joseph Zander and Eugenia Barth were married in Crown Butte, ND on February 12, 1917. Eugenia was the daughter of John and Elisabeth (Andreas) Barth. Leo Joseph Zander was born to Joseph and Eugenia (Barth) Zander on February 23, 1926. Leo was baptized in Glendive, Montana on February 28, 1926 at the Sacred Heart Church located there.
