The Marie Wagner Collection consists of a copied letter that was written by Marie Wagner (Jonathan Laub’s grandmother) in regard to her mother, Catherine Wagner. In the letter she spoke how it was to grow up in Russia as a German. She speaks of a few memories that she remembers. She also spoke of how they came over to the United States of America.

Biography

Marie Wagner was born shortly after her parents arrived in the United States from Russia. Her parents were John and Catherine Wagner. Marie’s maiden name and married name were both Wagner, as she married a Wagner. Over her years she lived in Bakersfield, California, St Paul, Minnesota, Geneva, New York, and Lockport, New York. Marie Wagner was the grandmother of Jonathan Laub.
