Scope and Contents

The Bridgette Readel Collection contains one copy of an original photograph belonging to Lorrene (Rudolf) Hochhalter, Erna (Rudolf) Rath’s sister. An information sheet was included. This snapshot was taken in 1941 showing a young woman holding a toddler, middle-aged woman and older woman on the steps at the Maria (Meidinger) Rudolf farm house located between Wishek and Zeeland, North Dakota.

The photograph shows four generations of women in the Thurn, Meidinger, Rudolf, Rath and Ritter families with ties to McIntosh County, North Dakota.

Patricia (Rath) Ritter, born 1941;Erna (Rudolf) Rath, born 1919, died in 2004; Maria (Meidinger) Rudolf, born 1894, died in 1973; Katherina (Thurn) Meidinger, born 1862, died in 1947.
