Scope and Contents

The Bossert Family Reunion was held in North Dakota in the 1950s or 1960s and captured on 8mm film. The film originally came from Caspar, husband of Bossert’s sister Kay.

Biography

Eusebeus “Sebie” Bossert was born on 6 October 1922 to John and Eva/ Evina Bossert. His parents were born in Russia and spoke German. John emigrated in 1909 and Eva in 1899 settling in Emmons County. Sebie married Adeline R Lipp daughter of John and Eva Lipp also of Emmons County. He died in Wisconsin on 13 March 2010. An officer in WWII and the Korean Conflict, he is buried in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Racine County, Wisconsin. The Bossert family origins are Baden, Kutschurgen District, South Russia, and of Roman Catholic heritage.
