Biography

The North Dakota State University fight song, The Yellow and The Green, has words written by A.E. Minard and music by C.S. Putnam. It was written in 1908. For the most part, only the first verse of the song was ever performed. In September of 2016, a controversy around surrounding the third verse and its use of “red man”. After speaking with staff, Bresciani made the decision to use only the first verse as the schools fight song.
