The notes detail the research that Bill Reid did on Louis F. Post between 1995 and 1969 as well as drafts of paper for a conference. These papers were pulled from an accession (1773) and those materials were discarded as they were photocopies of materials from other institutions.

Biography
William “Bill” G. Reid grew up in Clovis, New Mexico, graduating from Ranchvale High School in 1949. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Eastern New Mexico University in 1953 and his M.A. from the same university in 1956. He received his PhD, in 1963 from University of Oklahoma.
Bill came to North Dakota State University in 1967 to teach history courses. He served as the Institute for Regional Studies editor in the 1970s. He was appointed University and Institute Archivist in 1971 and he served this position until his retirement in 1986. One of the many honors that Bill earned was the Blue Key’s Distinguished Educator which he earned in 1972.
In addition to teaching, Bill also published several books through the NDSU Press (then the Institute for Regional Studies Press). After retirement Bill returned to eastern New Mexico where he spent his boyhood.
William G. “Bill” Reid died November 13, 1998.
