Biography

The Great Plains Agricultural Council was founded in 1946 when it merged with the Northern Great Plains Regional Agricultural Council and the southern Great Plains Regional Agricultural Council (both of which were founded in the late 1930s). The members of the new council were from various agencies such as the U.S. Department of Agricultural, experiment stations, and land grant schools in the Great Plains. Their mission was to find, evaluate, and encourage research on issues that dealt with Great Plains agricultural. This council broke up in 1996.
