Pamphlets, articles, and newspaper clippings on the history of the Garrison project from the 1950s through the early 1970s. Includes mention of people, organizations, and places involved, including C.S.N.D., Inc. (Committee to Save North Dakota, Inc.) which opposed the project, Sivert Thompson, and the North Dakota Farmers Union. Also includes Canadian pamphlets raising concerns about the diversion project.

Scope and Contents
The Garrison Dam Collection contains 139 photographic prints, predominately 11x14 and 8x10 inches in size, taken from circa 1946 to 1954. The collection has been divided into six series: Aerial views, Dam construction, Intake structure, Spillway, People, and Power plant and tunnels.
