Abstract
The Barnes County, N.D. Aerial Photograph Collection consists of 190 high altitude, 9x9 inches, photographic prints, covering approximately 401 square miles of land in east central North Dakota. The majority of the images are located in Barnes County with approximately 353 square miles; however there are 9 square miles in the southeast corner of Griggs County, 21 square miles in the southwest corner of Steele County, and 18 square miles in the northwest corner of Ransom County also represented.

The Mandan, N.D. 1943 Flood Aerials Photograph Collection document from the air one of the worst floods to hit the Heart River and Mandan, North Dakota. The images were likely taken by a government agency, perhaps to document the event for future flood control. The Missouri River Aerial Photograph Collections contains 737 glass plate negatives, each 21 x 16 cm. Although there was no identification included with these negatives; painstaking research has determined that the series of images cover an area of the Missouri River Valley affected by the building of Garrison Dam and subsequent creation of Lake Sakakawea.
