Abstract A diverse collection of images taken by Mr. Olson, that spans from the 1950s to the 1980s and its images include such topics as the Fargo tornado in 1957, Native Americans, and the Vietnam War. Most were taken by Cal Olson while photographic journalist for the Fargo Forum. These negatives give a good reflection of life in Fargo, Moorhead and the Red River Valley, featuring newsworthy events of the era.

Scope and Contents The Iver Udgaard Photograph Collection consists of portraits of acquaintances of Mr. Udgaard and unknown persons, several exterior shots, and activities that took place at various schools. They span from the 1890s to the 1950s, with most of the images dating from approximately 1900. The images that are identified were taken in various small towns in North Dakota.
