Includes mention of native flowers and wildlife, early crops, blizzards, her father's trips to Larimore, N.D. for supplies, the death of Chris Severson, a neighbor, a picnic on July 4, 1882 at Bachelor's Grove, 1883 New Year's Eve party, the first school teacher, Cella Rossiter, and the 1885 wheat harvest.
