Horse racing at the fair.

Horse and buggy racing was a popular attraction at the fair. The 1910 real photograph postcard shows the crowds. The picture also shows a bandstand in front of the grandstand.

In the illustration right (taken from a 1926 fair brochure) we can see spectators lining the track and filling the grandstand for harness racing. Tickets in 1926 ranged from 50¢ in the bleachers to $1.00 for grandstand box seats.
