All-America City Award
The All-America City Award is a program of the National Civic League. Each year since 1949, the Award has honored ten U.S. communities of all sizes that have demonstrated outstanding citizen participation, civic action and community pride as determined by the national panel of judges. Fargo was selected as an All-America City in 1959. In 2000, the cities of Fargo and Moorhead joined together with the Chamber of Commerce of Fargo-Moorhead to submit an All-America City application. Fargo-Moorhead was selected as an All-America City on June 3, 2000.
