The Alvina Schurr Photograph Collection consists of twelve photographs relating to the Schurr, Hartwig, Bauer, Peltz, Redman, and Grenz families; circa 1880s-1920s. The photographs are primarily of family, couple, and wedding portraits. The other images are of farm scenes. These photographs were taken on the August Bauer farm and the Wilhelm “William” Schurr farm. The finding aid for items in the physical collection can be found at http://hdl.handle.net/10365/22958

Wreath on front of veil. Veil has gathers on crown of head and falls straight to hem. Small flowers on wide sash at waist. Couple identified as Rudolph Peltz and Emma Bickel. Circa 1919. Karoline Grenz born at Lichtenfeld, South Russia in 1850. Died in Golden Prairie, Sask. 1940. Photograph was taken in the early 1920’s. Daniel Nuske was born in February 1843 st Leipzig, South Russia. He died at Milton-Freewater, Oregon 15 Dec 1926.
