dc.description.abstract | This is a design for a Heritage and Visitor Center for
the city of Fargo, North Dakota. The site utilized is
currently a parking lot near the Fargo public library
and Fargo Civic Center. The overall design and material
chosen for this project were meant to create a
warm and inviting atmosphere for all visitors. People
visiting the area will be able to make reservations
and get information from the reception’s visitor
hub. There are multiple gallery and exhibit spaces
for people to learn about the area’s local cultural
heritage. The exhibits can be changed throughout
the year to maintain interest and use among the
locals. The program also includes a gift shop, two
classrooms, a multi-use event space and an outdoor
exhibit space. | en_US |
