In New York, the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) supervises the wholesale electrical market and collects different kinds of data, including price and load data, which are available on the NYISO’s website. These data are not available on mobile and tablet devices, and the NYISO website does not provide the ability to render customized reports which would allow the user to filter and manipulate the data for effective searches, analyses, and visualization. To overcome these problems, a mobile application was developed. This application not only allowed the users to effectively browse through the website’s contents, but also empowered the users to gather information and to analyze it in an effective manner. The application also provides a clean interface for the user to view different attributes of the price and load data for the state, allowing user to run queries on those data.en_US
