Software inspection is a process to minimize or eradicate defects throughout the entire software lifecycle which in turn helps to create and maintain quality products. While inspections are effective, it is often done manually and is time-consuming and tedious. To address this problem, this paper developed the "Software Inspection Tool" that can be used for identifying and detecting defects in software artefacts during the inspection process. The tool is based on the Model(M), View(V) and Controller(C) architecture and uses modern web infrastructure like Amazon Web Services (AWS) for data storage, hosting and cloud computing. Representational State Transfer (REST) has been implemented to create an uncoupled system as well for third party information exchange. Therefore, the creation of such a tool allows inspectors to collaborate globally to detect and report defects which further allows for creating quality software products and enable cost savings.en_US
