Abstract
Description
In 1956, North Dakota was one of the leading states in production of barley. It was evident that all the barley produced couldn't be sold for human use as beer, malt, breakfast foods, infant foods, so forth. Therefore, locating another use for surplus barley needed to be found. Using barley as swine feed is discussed and several experiments reviewed. In the second study, swine fed pelleted barley made the rapid and efficient gains.
