Abstract Letters of recommendation, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade teacher certificates, and teacher contracts from Hunter, Buffalo, and Goshen school districts (Cass County, N.D.) and a clipping of a poem by Laura Thorson, Mayville, N.D., titled "Fair prairie state."

Abstract Halland, a Norwegian immigrant, was the North Dakota Superintendent of Instruction from 1896 to 1900 and a North Dakota State University history professor from 1902 to 1910.

Abstract North Dakota educator, Katherine Sorlie McLeod's papers consist, for the most part, of letters written to Mrs. McLeod, including from William George Fanning while stationed in Texas during World War I. The papers also include a few letters that Mrs. McLeod wrote, grade school report cards, teacher contracts, graduation announcements, a draft of what appears to be a school skit and a poem describing a class camping trip.

Abstract The records of the North Dakota Council of Teachers of English consist entirely of the notebook contents of former president of the council, Naedine Aanestad. The collection is extremely eclectic, and the documents address a wide variety of subjects.

Abstract The Prosper School District #23 Records cover 1892-1962. The miscellaneous records include school inventories, inspection records, and accreditation certificates. Other records include PTA minutes, Clerk’s Records, and Teacher’s Registers.
