Scope and Content

From the Collection: The Russell S. Reid Photograph Collection contains 8 photographic prints. All appear to have been taken on a trip to the North Dakota Badlands taken around July 13, 1928 with political leaders, including Rep. Sinclair, Rep. Burtness, Sen. Lynn Frazier, Sen. Gerald Nye, and Gov. Sorlie. The trip was to give members of the United States Senate - Public Lands Committee a tour of the proposed Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Senators visiting were Porter H. Dale of VT, H. F. Ashurst of AZ, and Ingham Mack, clerk of the committee.
