Putnam; Leslie Putnam's struggle to retain the farm; T.N.'s career in lumber business; his election as Foster County Treasurer and both houses of N.D. legislature. Second interview (1 leaf) with Leonard Sackett mentions L.B. Hanna's purchase in 1932 of the Carrington and Casey ranch, includes references to Hanna's involvement with the lumber business, his lumber purchases from Putnam-Miller Co., L.B and his son, Robert Hanna, raising Angus cattle.
