 File — Box: 1, Folder: 4

Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The research records of Thomas Isern consist of surveys of the near south side residential area of Grand Forks, N.D. in 2001-2002, following a devastating flood in 1997. These architectural analyses consist of photos, maps, and reports. In addition to the analyses, the collection contains four folders of related information, including a summary of a 1995 survey and Isern and Hoffer’s 2002 updated summary. There are two series in the collection: Background and Survey Files. The Background Series consists of documents relating to the entirety of the project rather to specific properties. Included here is the bound publication, Near South Side Residential Area, Grand Forks Area, North Dakota: An Update Survey, notes, reports, and other related information. The Survey Files Series includes the architectural analyses of buildings in Grand Forks’s near south side. The analyses are comprised of photos, maps, and survey reports.
