Scope and Content

Henry and Ella Beaudoux Photograph Collection currently only holds three cabinet card photographs, all taken by the Ribble Studio in St. Peter, Minn. They are all wedding photograph take on October 5, 1897, one with with Henry and Ella as a couple, and the other two single portraits of both the bride and the groom.

Biography

Henry Alexander Beaudoux was born in France on August 5, 1872. He received his training at the Academy of Paris. He taught French and Medicine at the University of Minnesota, where he did also graduated as an M.D. He did his graduate studies in ophthalmology and oto-laryngology. On October 5, 1897 he married Ella Ribble in Saint Peter, Minnesota. Shortly after their marriage they couple moved to Fargo, North Dakota where he opened a hospital and was an Aurist and Oculist. In 1908 they moved to Saint Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota. The couple moved to Oakland, California in the early 1920s. He died on May 20, 1951.
