History

This collection of images was taken for the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station Department of Marketing and Rural Organizations in the 1920s. The images were originally mounted on cardboard with an identifying information tag on the back. The cardboard mounts all have hooks on the back, indicating the collection intended to be publicly displayed. This exhibition likely was developed shortly after the images were taken, in the late 1920s. The original glass negatives for this collection are preserved in the NDSU University Archives, and the information tag on back usually includes the negative number.
