Biography

The Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA) was a program through the federal government as part of the New Deal that went into effect May 12, 1933. This program was created to help boost agricultural prices by lower the surpluses that existed. In doing so, the government bought livestock for slaughter and paid farmers not to plant on land.

There were several divisions and then sections in those divisions, the Corn-hog section being under the commodities division.
