The Samuel & Mary (Altergott) Hansch Collection contains a quilt and the Samuel and Mary Hansch Family Tree. The quilt is made of 5 inch finished squared of men’s lightweight suiting fabrics in blues, grays, brown, and tan. It measures 6 feet by 5 feet. Helen, a daughter of Samuel and Mary told her daughter, Janet, that the blanket was brought from Russia when she immigrated and is filled with camel hair. The Samuel and Mary Hansch Family Tree was compiled by Samuel and Mary’s children and grandchildren. All of the information is from what they remember and can recall. It includes an immediate family tree and the story of Sam and Mary.
