The collection is arranged by Department with each department getting sub-series when needed. The Board of Visitors Series contains Board of Visitors meeting minutes, which is made up of alumni and was established in 1995.
Apparel, Design, and Hospitality Management Department Series is separated into six sub-series: Departmental Background; Curriculum; Reports and Documents; Subjects; Publications; Recruitment.
Dean’s Office Series is separated into 15 sub-series based on former Deans: Alba Bales (Dean, 1926-1937, 1940-1942); Alice Haley (Dean, 1937-1940); Lucile Horton (Acting Dean, 1942-1944); Leita Davy (Dean, 1944-1951); Clara Cerveny (Dean, 1951-1952); Ella Johnson Olson (Acting Dean, 1953-1954); F. Caroline Budewig (Dean, 1954-1970); David G. Worden (Acting Dean, 1970-1972); Katherine Burgum (Acting Dean 1972, Dean 1972-1980); Jacqueline Voss (Dean, 1980-1982); Charlotte Bennett (Dean, 1982-1991); Shirley Friend (Interim Dean, 1991-1992); Kevin McCaul (Interim Dean, 1992-1993); Virginia Clark Johnson (Dean, 1993-2015); and Dean’s Advisory Committee.
Committees, Task Forces, Commissions Series is separated into 10 sub-series of different committees: Academic Affairs Committee; Curriculum Committee; Tenure and Evaluation Committee; Student Progress Committee; Social Committee; Building Committee; History Committee; Memorial Fund Committee; Scholarship Committee; and Management Team.
Human Development and Family Science Department Series are separated into seven sub-series: Departmental Background; Meetings; Curriculum; Reports and Documents; Subjects; Publications; and Recruitment.

Publications Series consists of alumni newsletters from 1959 to present, two tabloid pieces for prospective students (c.1983, 1989), a history of the college from 1891 – 1990 and a history of the Home Management House.
