Danielson," recounting the life of his Swedish immigrant parents, Erick and Lovisa Danielson, who came to the United States in 1866 from Narkes Lane, Varmland, Sweden and to the Painted Woods area in 1879 to homestead, and on his life to about 1910; and two newspaper clippings.

Diary begins with his departure for America in April 1903, coming to Montevideo, Minnesota where he worked for an Erik Molstad. The entries are usually short, telling what he did each day or where he was. The diary continues with his move to McLean County near the Emmet, N.D. post office. The entries document his establishing a homestead farm, interaction with neighbors, social events. Names of others...
