Earl L. Rotzien was born in Fargo on October 2, 1925 to John and Irene Rotzien. Scherling Studio first employed him as a finisher from 1945 to 1948. In 1952 he worked as a clerk at Grosz Studio. By 1955 he was an independent photographer working out of his home at 361 8th Avenue South. From 1956 to 1959 he worked as a roofer with Quinn Roofing Company. He again operated a photography studio out of his home from 1960 to 1961. Colemans employed him as a maintenance worker from 1962 to 1968. From 1969 to 1979 he worked for EPCO Film Company, and from 1980 to his retirement in 1988 he worked in the camera department at JC Penney’s. Earl
died on October 19, 2006 at ManorCare in Fargo at the age of 81.
