Leeby's Food Market

Leeby's Food Market was listed at 420 Broadway in the 1950's. Telephone books from the 1920's list "Leeby's Groceries" at 406 Broadway. I am not sure if it moved in the interim or if the address simply changed. It was certainly a fixture on the northern end of downtown Broadway.

The Viking Hotel was listed at 420 Broadway from 1905 until 1901 when a new hotel was built across the street.

Leeby's was still listed in the 1984 city directory. I don't know when it closed.

The location today is the home of the Zandbroz Variety store, an upscale variety store with a period lunch counter in the rear.
