As you enjoy the Christmas and holiday season, we are happy to send our latest newsletter and hope you have some time to sit down and enjoy an update from us!
This edition contains a Q&A with the GRHC team, an article about prairie preservation, a short review of a German-Russian museum in Germany, and a cookie recipe from Rose Marie Gueldner’s newest cookbook series. Also, be sure to also click both articles found in the “In the News” section on the first page. One is an update about a digitization project that GRHC staff have been working on and the other is Michael Miller’s latest monthly column that focuses on German-Russian Christmas traditions.

The GRHC Newsletter is an opportunity for us to celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of the Germans from Russia who settled in North Dakota and the Northern Plains.
The newsletter is released roughly twice a year. The format is entirely digital, but you are welcome to download the PDF and print it at home. You will find a download button in the lower right-hand corner of the viewing panel.
We welcome and encourage your feedback, suggestions, and contributions. We also ask that you share your own research, stories, memories, and experiences for us to include in future editions. If you are interested in contributing, please contact us and we will reach out to you.
