| dc.description.abstract | This project is meant to explore the idea of how Vacant heavy industrial zones can have different uses than existing industrial sites across America. The idea is to use sustainable design to minimize the polution rate, control the toxins, and give residents a place to learn and relax. The City of Milwaukee has plenty of unused industrial sites that were once thriving with business and now sit in peril. The buildings once used are now sitting in disrepair and causing health and safety issues to residents and wildlife. Apart from these structures, the site is completely abandoned and unused and has the possibility of growing into a successful model. The goal and vision of this site is to bring the contaminated site back to life, continue the expansion and diversity of the park system, and bring positive capitol to the city. | en_US |
