Social Network Housing

Abstract
Social Network Housing aims to examine the phenomenon of the social network and the emerging technology of augmented reality. The social network has become a driving force in shaping how we communicate with each other. The current state of architecture finds itself in between our physical environment and our digital environment and in doing so has lost touch with the individual. As such, the amount of individuals working directly with an architect remains only for a select few. It is the hope that through a 200,000 sq. ft. social network driven student housing + mixed use typology, an architecture will develop that is better suited to serve a fragmented downtown NDSU campus, its students, and the larger downtown Fargo community.
