This research addresses the historic Mississippi riverfront in Lowertown, St. Paul, Minnesota, focusing directly on Lower Landing Park. The Lower Landing Riverfront Park project aims to rediscover the underutilized industrial waterfront for public use. Through the integration of the urban and natural setting, Lower Landing Riverfront Park will provide users with a mixed-recreation open space and a riverfront promenade, which will reflect the social and historic influences of the Lowertown warehouse district. According to the author, the resulting relationship between the adjacent community and the River's edge will be re-established, thereby enhancing the quality of living.en_US
