dc.descriptionKunrad and Katherine (Kost) Kogler were born in Rohrbach, South Russia. They married in Worms, South Russia, and came to the United States in 1885, locating first in Artas, South Dakota, before relocating to McIntosh County, west of Green Lake. Their daughter Martha married Lawrence Quatier. George and Elizabeth (Zoller) Ackerman, Sr., married in Rohrbach, South Russia. They came to Logan County, North Dakota in the spring of 1889 from Rohrbach, Kherson, Odessa, Ukraine. They lived in a sod house northwest of Wishek, North Dakota, and had ten children. Their son Edward married Martha Sayler in 1923. She was the daughter of Frederick and Christina (Werner) Sayler, Sr. The Ackerman family farm was located in Johannesdal Township, Logan County, North Dakota, and four miles north of Wishek, ND. The Sayler homestead was four miles northwest of Wishek, McIntosh County, North Dakota. The Kogler farm was west of Green Lake in McIntosh County.en_US
