dc.description.abstractIn the late 1990s North Dakota saw a series of serious floods along the Red River Valley in the eastern side of the state. Many cities along the Red River received incredible flood damage, Grand Forks most of all. The flooding drew national attention and the state required federal assistance to recover from the disaster.en_US
