This paper describes the nature of an urban development project in downtown Fargo. The challenge of creating new architecture within a historic section of a city makes for an interesting project and allows for a creative influence. A vacant site was chosen to show that we don’t have to build out, but there are many spaces within the city. By creating form, plazas, interior spaces, and enjoyable places, I plan to enhance the thriving area of Fargo’s downtown while introducing a diverse building. By showing reflections of the past, yet reaching forward to the future, a new design will result that energizes the city and revitalizes a historic section of the city.en_US
