This story is based on what Mr. Mulligan related to Mr. Wiltse in 1900 while working for him. Mr. Mulligan was an Irish immigrant, making his home in Winnipeg, Canada. Includes mention of his trading with Indians, their food, their horses, driving ox teams, a ride to St. Cloud, Minn. for ammunition, investing his money, driving a dog team, another ride to St. Cloud for extra troops, and his acceptance into various Sioux and Chippewa tribes.en_US
