This project explores the dynamics of streetscapes seeking to understand why some projects are successful and others are not. The location of the project is in Moorhead, Minnesota which is a border city to Fargo, North Dakota. This project recognizes four environments which influence the success of streetscapes: economic, political, social and the natural environments. These environments are dynamic, constantly changing; making it difficult to design a streetscape which will support the surrounding community in the best way possible. Instead of looking at a streetscape as a 20-30 year investment, what would a streetscape look like it if were meant to evolve over time? The Moorhead City Walk is a representation on how a streetscape may become a living entity, in that of the community- documenting the culture, art and history, all the while advancing the economic viability of surrounding development.en_US
