Two quite complete pocket diaries kept by Erickson, beginning with his enlistment in August 1917. Diaries become more detailed in late December of 1917. The first volume also includes drill regulations for a wedding. The second diary continues on Nov. 1, 1918. It was a German printed booklet and includes three German (revenue?) stamps. It has had some water damage thus making reading somewhat difficult. The diaries end on Sept. 9, 1919. There is a handwritten transcript of the first diary for Aug 1917 to April 14, 1918.en_US
