Abstract Downing was the Manager of the Downing farm near La Moure and Mooreton, N.D. The collection concerns mainly his farming and and personal financial problems, particulary in the 1930s. The collection also contains correspondence and interviews with Downing as well as correspondence with his son, Wellington, while he served in the United States Navy during World War II.
