Born 1894 in Sargent County, N.D. Family moved to Clay County, Minn. in 1899 and in 1909 moved north of Dilworth, Minn. Left partially paralyzed after recovering from influenza in 1918. He was employed by city of Dilworth, Minn. as town clerk and waterworks superintendent.
